What a wonderful trip Mary
Ann and I had with you recently! As you know, Mary Ann is a
little bit uncomfortable going out on the water in anything
less than a cruise ship, but she absolutely loved paddling
with you in the outrigger and felt perfectly comfortable. In
fact, so comfortable she shot some truly remarkable bird
pictures. Finding
ourselves in the middle of hundreds of Avocets and Marbled
Godwits swirling about us after being frightened by a
Peregrine Falcon flying overhead was an experience we shall
never forget. We have been fortunate in that we have had the
opportunity to bird all over the world and I do not believe
we have ever had a better birding experience. The fact that
you can get so close to the birds without spooking them
makes for a rare opportunity for any recreational birder.
The problem is that one is
constantly in conflict over whether to put down the
binoculars and pick up the camera or just watch and enjoy.
You can be assured that we and our friends will be back any
time we are in the area.

tour of Morro Bay! The tranquility and intimacy of floating up
close and personal with the birds of the estuary was a peak
experience. I felt completely at ease in your 17’ outrigger.
It seemed to glide smoothly and silently over the water. Your
skillful guiding of the boat allowed me to delight in
photographing the many beautiful birds we saw. I appreciated
your keen spotting as well as the helpful tips you offered.
Your intuitive timing and positioning of the boat made it
comfortable for me to focus my camera. It was a total
experience, full of wonder and peace, even without a camera. I
